It’s a melancholy day, following the unexpected passing of the great Mr Lew Soloff, late last night. Looking forward to escaping the city for a few hours. I always find the train ride along the Hudson peaceful. Today, it’ll be a nice opportunity to reflect on all the greats who’ve left us recently.

Rest In Peace Lew Soloff, Clark Terry, Wilmer Wise. The trumpet still sounds, but it’s up to the rest of us now…
