A busy evening in prospect!

First, I’ll be with Dr Peter Silver’s Blue Nitrous Big Band at The Bitter End, on Bleecker St in NYC. We’ll be presenting the wonderful music from Patrick Williams “Sinatraland” album. 1 show, at 7pm SHARP, $10 cover.

Second, I’ll be with the George Gee Swing Orchestra at Swing 46. We’ll be playing from 8pm-11:30pm, for your dinner and dancing pleasure.

Hope to see you out and about, this evening. If you see me on the street in-between these 2 gigs, please don’t be offended if I can’t stop to say hello – I’ll be in a hurry!

Tonight, the Captain Black Big Band begins our monthly residency at the Zinc Bar, in NYC, in a return to the full size line-up not seen for the past year or two! We’ll be playing 2 shows, between 8pm & 11pm. Let’s see what kind of magical, mystery tour Orrin Evans takes us on tonight!?! Come and join us, and find out.

Looking forward to a special presentation of George Gee’s Swing Orchestra in all it’s 17-piece glory, tonight at Swing 46. Come out and enjoy a plethora of swing classics from the repertoire of many of the great big bands. The dance floor will be open, as always, or you could just come and listen to a great big band! 8:30-11:30pm. Hope to see you!

Last Minute Lesson Opportunities in Eisenach, Germany, this weekend.

I’m writing this at JFK, about to board my flight to Frankfurt, to join Otto Sauter & Ten of the Best for this weekend’s concerts at the Wartburg Castle, up the hill from Eisenach. Now that I have the full schedule for the next few days, I see that I have the chance to offer some trumpet lesson slots. There are 2 possible times:

Update: due to demand, I’m adding an extra slot on Saturday. Updated availability is:

  • Friday, Nov 25 – between 10:30 and 15:00
  • Saturday, Nov 26 – 15:00-17:00.
  • Sunday, Nov 27 – between 11:30 and 13:30

That means there are potentially 2 slots on Friday and 1 on Sunday. Please check the details on my Teaching Page and, if this is of interest, please file the Online Lesson Request Form on that page.

Thanks for reading, and I hope to meet you in Eisenach this weekend!

Update #2: Many thanks to those who booked so quickly. Don’t forget you can book Skype lessons at any time – I have open slots most weeks, when I’m home in NYC.
