Tonight, Otto Sauter’s “Ten of the Best & Friends” return to the historic castle Auf der Wartburg, above Eisenach, Germany. We’ll be presenting our annual “Swinging Christmas Melodies” shows, this weekend, in this beautiful concert hall built for Franz Liszt, when he was the composer at court. In addition to the great music, the medieval Christmas Market will be open for the first time in the season. If you like great trumpet playing, this is the place to be!

In a last minute change of plan, I’ll be with the Birdland Big Band for their 5pm show, this evening. Bandleader Tommy Igoe is in from the West Coast, and we have the great Mr James Genus guesting on bass! Should be a blast!

Then I’ll be over to SubCulture afterwards for the Secret Society show, as previously mentioned. Phew!! Busy evening!! 🙂

Tonight, the mighty Eyal Vilner Big Band returns to The Garage Restaurant in Greenwich Village, NYC. We’ll be playing 2 sets between 7 & 10pm. No cover, good food and GREAT music! This band really swings. Do come on out and join us.

In related news, the new CD we recorded back in June has been mastered and will be going to be manufactured soon. The preliminary mixes I’ve heard sound fantastic! More news about that as I have it.
