Looking forward to a busy evening of swinging music!

First, I’ll be joining the Harlem Renaissance Orchestra in the Jackie Robinson Park Bandshell, from 6-8pm. The park is located at W145th St and Bradhurst Avenue, in Harlem/Hamilton Heights. The bandshell is behind the swimming pool – around Bradhurst & 147th St.

Then, I’ll be heading downtown to join the George Gee Swing Orchestra at their regular Big Band First Friday swing dance event. We’ll be playing, for your dancing pleasure, from 9:30pm-12:30am at the Ballroom at 4 West 43rd St, in midtown.

Tonight is the last night of our feature week with Tommy Igoe’s Birdland Big Band, featuring James Genus, at Birdland Jazz Club in NYC. The band has been throwing down all week long, including 3 rocking shows yesterday, and it’s been a blast! Come by at 8:30pm or 11:00pm for your last chances to catch a set! Hope to see you….
