I’m looking forward to the first night, tonight, of our 5 night run at Birdland Jazz Club with Tommy Igoe & the Birdland Big Band, featuring special guest James Genus on bass. We’ll be playing 2 shows nightly from Tuesday, December 29th to Saturday, January 2nd at 8:30pm & 11:00pm. In addition, we’ll also be playing our regular 5:15pm show on Friday! That’s right: 11 shows in 5 nights!!

The line up is typically stellar:
Trumpets: Nick Marchione, John Walsh, BD & Glenn Drewes
Trombones: Mark Miller, Isrea Butler & James Borowski
Saxes: Nathan Childers, Alejandro Aviles, Dan Willis, Rob Middleton & Tony Lustig
Piano: Kenny Ascher
Bass: James Genus
Drums: Tommy Igoe

A slammin’ band roaring away all week long – please come and check it out!

I’m looking forward to our first concert of the Japanese leg of the tour, with Otto Sauter & Ten of the Best. We perform at 7pm, this evening, at Sapporo Concert Hall Kitara. I’m thoroughly enjoying my first visit to Japan – looking forward to playing to a good crowd tonight!

This evening, we head back up the mountain to the Wartburg Castle for the last show of the European leg of the Ten of the Best tour. We’ll be performing “Swinging Christmas Melodies” at 7:30pm. Last night was great fun, so I hope you have a chance to make it.

Tomorrow, we jet off to Japan, ahead of our next show, in Sapporo, on Wednesday. I’m very much looking forward to it – I’ve never been to Japan before, and it’s always fun to explore a new country!
