Looking forward to “Big Band First Thursdays” with the George Gee Big Band, this evening, at Swing 46 on NYC’s restaurant row. We’ll be swinging big band classics for your dancing pleasure from 8:30pm to 11:30pm. Hope to see you.

The Captain Black Big Band continues our monthly residency at the Zinc Bar in NYC, this evening. We’ll be playing 2 sets of Orrin Evans’ special blend of music and mayhem, between 8pm & 11pm. Come on out and enjoy the adventure with us!

Happy New Year!

2017 is kicking off to a busy start for me. First day of the year and first gig!

Tonight, I’ll be with Arturo O’Farrill and the Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra at Birdland, for our regular Sunday night visit. 2 shows at 9pm & 11pm. Hope to see some friendly faces out and about!

Happy Holidays!

I’m celebrating the season playing with 2 of the very best big bands anywhere!

Tonight (Christmas Day!) we’ll be paying a festive visit to Birdland with Arturo O’Farrill and the Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra. 2 shows – 9pm & 11pm.

Then on Dec 26 (Boxing Day, if you’re so inclined!) I’ll be with the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra for their weekly visit to the Village Vanguard.

This NYC Christmas is certainly going to be a swinging affair! Hope to see you at one or both of these.
